Bio of Sgt. Adams:
Jeff Adams' conditioning background began in high school and escalated significantly when he served in the US Army. While serving our nation, Jeff held numerous positions of responsibility in all matters of physical fitness.
As a Airborne Ranger in 75th Ranger Regiment, his unit, Jeff learned how to truly maximize the body in all things fitness as he was pushed to the extremes of human physical ability. He routinely surpassed the maximum score for the physical training test. He took this ability and learned how to motivate others by conveying a clear and concise message of what each squad's purpose was down to each member and why each of them must not waiver in the least bit as the mission had to be completed successfully.
Sergeant Adams was indeed an asset to the special operations community as he qualified to be an instructor in several disciplines to include strength and conditioning, which included teaching how units must limit injuries by best practices. The cadre of instructors were top-notch in training tomorrow's leaders and it led him to effectively teach and lead soldiers on the battlefield. Each soldier had to achieve a high level of fitness just to be considered for various duty positions. It was not uncommon for Jeff to lead just a few troops in a team/squad size element or larger formations of 100+ men on a large training field no matter what duty station he called home at a given time.
Following his time in the Army Jeff graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree from University of Central Florida.
In recent years, Jeff's extensive experience in strength and conditioning enriched his children's sports teams/leagues. Over the last several years he has been integral to the success of his sons' football teams as he was the strength and conditioning coach most recently for his son's football team in Florida who incidentally won the championship in their specific FL region.
The level of intensity that Jeff brought to the team was tremendous as the boys improved greatly in their conditioning so much so that the opposing teams couldn't hang in 2nd half of every game. The team's stamina was indeed a strength that couldn't be touched. As an aside...other teams in the league wanted their players to join in with his team's conditioning drills as they saw the fruits of their labor.
Coach Jeff would not just talk the talk, he would on many occasions do many of the drills with the boys to push them. This would only go to motivate the boys to beat Coach Jeff and they did once they realized the team was serious about conditioning.
This garnered a high level of respect for him and his methods from boys and parents. He challenged the team to increase their speed, strength, and power.
Coach Jeff is a highly effective communicator and treats all the members of the team as if they were his own sons... firm, fair, and consistent and always with a commitment to improve and not just reach a mid-level goal to become complacent the next day. This obviously also applies to all student-athletes especially those players who don't initially attain the expected standard, but show the desire to be the best.
Coach Jeff believes that if the proper expectations are set and understood by every member of the team then each boy should give 100% effort every time they walk on the field for practice or a game. Modern technology and advances in the science of human performance have indeed enabled players to train in special ways and reach levels of performance only a few decades ago would have been unheard of in such high frequency today than before, but I guess you would say Coach Jeff still believes in the basics and is a bit "old school" with his energetic no hold-bars approach.
He is unique as the players he trains respond with a clear strength of character and attitude that exudes a "leave it all on the field" mentality.
The principles that govern both Coach Jeff's professional and personal life have a deep foundation in Jesus Christ. Living this virtuous manner daily can be challenging in today's world, but Coach Jeff doesn't ever stop moving forward and learns from his mistakes and successes by living with integrity and humility as each form a basis of honesty and truth in love of God.
